Our approach
Most people who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol have used substances to cope with things like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, childhood trauma, and other painful experiences. That's why trauma-informed practice sits at the centre of everything we do.
Because drug and alcohol addiction can "mimic" mental health disorders, we treat the substance addiction first and foremost so each person can receive an accurate diagnosis. We often find that when people are clean and sober for a period of time, symptoms like anxiety and depression diminish greatly — or go away entirely.
Change your thinking, change your life. Love, compassion, understanding, and respect are the keys to sobriety, and we bring them to every client who comes through our doors.
Recovery is possible for everyone who truly wants it. Change your thinking, change your life.

Client stories
"Options completely changed my life, an absolute 180. The staff truly care about the clients at this facility and that was evident. The food is phenomenal, and the programming and amazing counsellors are what really did the trick for me. I now have 19 months sober, and I truly believe I would not have achieved this if it were not for my stay at Options Kelowna."
"That phone call gave me my son back and opened the door to a healthy future for him. After one phone call I finally felt hope, something I had not felt in many months. If anyone is looking for help for themselves or their loved ones, please make the call I did. It will be life changing."
"I came to Options lost and with no direction in my life. I found the programming and the people at Options very caring and supportive. Coming up on 2 years sober and clean, I have found my true self. I am currently enrolled in college and plan to attend university for my bachelor degree."
"We are forever grateful for what the Options team have done for our son. The approach has gone over and beyond what any rehabilitation centre would do. Our son has learned a lot and so have we. Our family is whole again and we cherish every waking minute we have back with our son."
